<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><?xml-stylesheet href="http://www.blogger.com/styles/atom.css" type="text/css"?><feed xmlns='http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom' xmlns:openSearch='http://a9.com/-/spec/opensearchrss/1.0/' xmlns:georss='http://www.georss.org/georss' xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0'><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8154586209136673240</id><updated>2012-02-16T00:27:24.448-08:00</updated><title type='text'>MPC Studios</title><subtitle type='html'>Updates on MPC Studios productions and events.</subtitle><link rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#feed' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://mpc-studios.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8154586209136673240/posts/default?max-results=100'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://mpc-studios.blogspot.com/'/><link rel='hub' href='http://pubsubhubbub.appspot.com/'/><author><name>MPC Studios</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/16341337358554837725</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><generator version='7.00' uri='http://www.blogger.com'>Blogger</generator><openSearch:totalResults>1</openSearch:totalResults><openSearch:startIndex>1</openSearch:startIndex><openSearch:itemsPerPage>100</openSearch:itemsPerPage><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8154586209136673240.post-6936374473242959834</id><published>2012-01-08T08:14:00.000-08:00</published><updated>2012-01-08T08:14:44.642-08:00</updated><title type='text'>"The Boys of Summer" Finds New Life!</title><content type='html'>In 2008, fresh off the successful premiere of "Truelove", I began  writing a script that came to be known as "The Boys of Summer".&amp;nbsp; It took  six months, but the result was a full-length feature film script about  two guys on a road trip in search of redemption and a shred of meaning to their existence.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I love this script and my script  readers loved it, too.&amp;nbsp; Problem is, I can't film it.&amp;nbsp; It's too big a  project, too many days, too many locations, too many technical things  (lots of shooting inside moving cars) that a shoestring operation like  mine is simply unable to pull off and do the work justice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, with heavy heart, I put it on the shelf and moved on to other, more doable projects.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And  thus, it is with great pleasure that I can report that "The Boys of  Summer" will be made in 2012 (and maybe 2013).&amp;nbsp; No, I haven't suddenly  come into piles of money and previously unknown talents.&amp;nbsp; "The Boys of Summer" will be produced as a full-cast audio play, complete with sound effects and music.&amp;nbsp; It will be a film without pictures.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This script is a perfect fit for this format because it is a "talky", not an action film.&amp;nbsp; There will be new challenges in adapting the script to this format, but I am a big fan of audio plays, so I will go to school on ways to introduce characters and locations without a narrator and without sounding obvious about it.&amp;nbsp; Challenges are what MPC Studios is all about, so this fits right in.&amp;nbsp; We've never made the same type of narrative film twice, so why not give this a shot?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The plan is to spend a couple of months adapting the script, casting the actors, researching the proper recording equipment and software, then start recording.&amp;nbsp; I intend to provide behind the scenes video updates along the way.&amp;nbsp; When it's all done, it will be released as a weekly mini-series, with 15-20 minute audio episodes that you can hear online or download to your iPod.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am really excited by this idea, something totally new and fun and challenging, plus breathing life into a script that I think may be my very best.&amp;nbsp; I can't wait to begin sharing the work with my friends and the results with all of the fans who support our efforts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mike&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;p.s.
